Secondary English:

Mrs Shahrie @ Felissa Wee

 

A cheerful and dedicated teacher who believes learning begins with an open mind and the love for the subject. Her job is to inspire her students to develop a passion for English and to excel. She believes in engaging all students in the learning process and establishes a close rapport with all of her students, ensuring that she is approachable and that the learning environment is a friendly one.

Programme Highlights

- Lessons are based on the new English Language format (1128), comprising of various genres of     essay writing, situational writing, editing, visual texts, summary writing and comprehension.

- Comprehensive vocabulary coverage during each lesson, setting the platform for the acquisition      of a wide and suitable range of words, suited for formal writing and the understanding of poetic      devices in comprehension passages as well as improving the students’ ability to express answers      in their own words.

- Oral (1128) lessons prepare students for all O level components, inclusive of Reading Aloud and      Spoken Interaction.  

 

 

Lower Secondary Mathematics:

Mr Lenny Loke

 

Our Beloved Mathematics Magician who instils confidence and interest in the dry subject of Mathematics. He awakens the Mathematics Genius in each and every student. He has been with KRTC Simei Branch since year 2003.

 

Programme Highlights:

Lessons are fun not just being taught on mathematical concepts. Magic is incorporated to make learning fun and enjoyable.

Problem sums are greatly emphasized to tackle examinations questions.

 

 

Secondary Science & Upper Secondary Mathematics:

Mr S. K Tan

 

An approachable teacher who believes that every student learns at his or her own pace. Mr Tan strives to integrate and bond with each and every student so that all will sail at the same pace but to achieve excellence at the end of the secondary school journey.

 

Educational Philosophy

Education is a journey to be undertaken simutaneously both by the teacher and the students. Interactions, discussions and the dare to challenge will provide a platform for a productive and stimulating learning environment.

 

Programme Highlights

Common and past Examinations questions are practiced and discussed to prepare the students adequately to ace through their examinations.

 

 

Secondary Chinese:

Mr Lai Chang Bin  赖老师

 

A conscientious teacher who instils interest by teaching Chinese using Chinese Culture and history. The lessons focus on all aspects that is essential to prepare students for Examinations - Composition, Comprehension, Oral, Chinese idioms and phrasal verbs.
 

Programme Highlights:

培养学生对学习华文的兴趣。加强学生听、说、读、写的语文能力。提高学生的阅读理解能力和写作能力。让学生认识及吸收华族传统文化与核心价值观。
